去年在FOD播出的描述男性同性爱连续剧《情色小说家》的过去篇——《情色小说家~靛蓝色的心情~》决定今年（2019年）春季开始放送。主要演员有，饰演木岛理生的竹财辉之助，饰演城户士郎的吉田宗洋，前作《情色小说家》里饰演久住春彦的猪塚健太 也会有表演。
