传言第三季是围绕漫画《闪点》进行改编[3] 。第三季是否也会循着漫画的故事走下去，The CW一直闭口不谈，而只是在海报上标注了"New Destinies, New Dangers（新的命运，新的危险）"。有一件事情可以肯定的是，巴里仍旧要跟各式各样的敌人战斗。

本剧欲通过现时代存在的各式各样的家庭，解决我们社会存在的一些问题。欲解决年轻一代离婚率高的问题；应该享受生活的父母一代，却因养育孙子孙女而操心的问题，通过共同育儿提出对策。
但看似简单的杀人案背后却隐藏着惊天的阴谋：凶手谷子丰在案发前曾伙同路长明利用电脑网 络窃取银行数亿资金，但帐号及密码只有谷子丰一人知道，为了得到这笔赃案，路长明必须在最短 的时间里，颠倒黑白，扭转乾坤，营救谷子丰。
