龙叔、凤姨和曾力，年青时一起拜川菜名师马志刚为师。满师之后，各自发展。三人因各种原因，彼此之间存在着许多矛盾。龙叔接受友人邀请，到一家火锅店去当顾问，火锅店的主厨师竟是凤姨。两人为了面子，掀起了一场厨艺的龙争虎斗。后来因曾力偷取了师门祖传的豆瓣酱秘方，并出卖给日本商人图利，龙叔和凤姨便联合起来与对方抗争。最后，曾力认识了自己的错误，改过自新，与两人修好。而龙叔与凤姨则情愫暗生、共结连理。
