电视剧《铁齿铜牙纪晓岚》在北京地区播出时获得了满堂彩，收视率创下新高；眼下，又有一部以纪晓岚为主人公的电视连续剧《风流才子纪晓岚》于2001年4月29日与北京观众见面。相同的是两部“纪晓岚”都诙谐幽默，节奏轻松，不同的是《铁齿》大牌云集，《风流》却是新人担纲。
武侠小说家黄鹰便根据该剧改编并创作了武侠小说《天蚕变》，这也是香港武侠小说史上第一个根据电视剧集改编创作的武侠小说。
