The concept of MDT diagnosis and treatment mode can be traced back to the 1960s and 1970s. In 1965, the Northern California Children's Development Center put forward a plan to develop a multidisciplinary diagnosis and consultation clinic for mentally retarded children, and stressed the importance of multidisciplinary cooperation in the clinic.
