该剧讲述的是民国年间上海滩一座种满玫瑰的神秘庄园里，接连不断发生扑朔迷离的怪事。胡音音是山村采茶女工(父母去世)，富家子弟白一鸣驾着私人飞机在未开发的风景区探险时迫降，被胡音音救起。两人被一阵大雨困在山上一个山洞，又遇山体滑坡，两人都异常狼狈。在白一鸣甜言蜜语中，胡音音放松了戒备，被白一鸣激情融化。一夜缠绵后，白一鸣离开了山村，留下一块双鱼玉佩和自己的电话号，并说好一个月后来接胡音音到杭州。一个多月过去了，胡音音并没有等到白一鸣，而自己却被老中医告知怀孕。胡音音最后离开家门，去了杭州寻找白一鸣。在杭州，胡音音有数次和白一鸣擦肩而过。而白一鸣此时周旋于几个女孩之间，如鱼得水般进退自如，随意地轻许诺言，在情爱江湖里掀风翻浪得心应手。
