《万能管家》 （ Jeeves and Wooster ）是 Hugh Laurie 大叔和 Stephen Fry大叔在二十世纪九十年代的作品。

故事发生在清朝乾隆年间，当时社会经济、文化的发展呈现出一派详和繁荣的景象，被后人称作“康乾盛世”。然而，表面上的国泰民安，掩饰不了各种日益激化的矛盾。如何清除图谋不轨者，惩治贪官污吏，平衡君臣矛盾等问题都摆在当朝天子的乾隆皇上面前。乾隆是一个颇有作为、雷厉风行的君主，同时又是一个深谙中庸之道的政治家。他十分爱才，颇能理解大学士纪晓岚刚真守正、秉公执法的无私品性，又贪图逢迎，特别欣赏户部尚书和摇尾乞怜、惟命是从的献媚之术。而纪晓岚与和，则是一对多年来格格不入、南辕北辙、互为政敌的冤家对头。于是围绕着这三人这间，便产生了一幕幕令人或忍俊不禁、或长吁短叹的悲喜剧。
